This is my first venture into Mac, as I have. I am using Mac OS Sierra 10.12.1 and Safari 10.01.1 I have 8GB of Ram and a 1 TB hdd. The Apple file system is the most significant feature it brought. There are few bells and whistles, but the changes are noticeable and positive. High Sierra emphasizes the already-existing benefits of MacOS previous system, Sierra. In essence, High Sierra took what was good with Sierra and developed it into a more comprehensive software. Someone who wanted to upgrade a PPC-based Mac to Tiger would need to have bought a retail. FYI: Use Safari, instead of Firefox, to download High Sierra & Mojave.
